At Groveport United Methodist Church, we are dedicated to supporting our community in tangible ways. One of the ways we live out this commitment is through our Free Friday food giveaway, held on the third Friday of every month at 5:00 p.m. During this event, we distribute free groceries to anyone in need, regardless of background or circumstance. It is our hope that by offering this service, we can provide some relief to families and individuals facing food insecurity in our local area.
This ministry is made possible through the generous contributions of our church members, community partners, and a grant from the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Their ongoing support allows us to offer a variety of nutritious items each month, ensuring that those who come to us leave with the essentials they need to feed their families.
At the heart of this initiative is our desire to share the love of Jesus Christ in a practical and meaningful way. By providing food to those in need, we hope to demonstrate Christ’s compassion and care, making a positive impact in the lives of those who visit us.
