Pastor Richard “Rick” Birk has been leading Groveport United Methodist Church since July 2023. Before stepping into this role, he taught high school history, sharing his love of learning and storytelling. With over 20 years of experience as a full-time pastor, Pastor Rick has served churches in Columbus, Lancaster, Chillicothe, and many rural communities across Ohio.
He’s the proud father of his 17-year-old son, Owen, who keeps life exciting. When he’s not at church, Pastor Rick enjoys woodworking, tackling creative projects in his shop, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Here’s a fun fact: Pastor Rick has a twin brother! So if you think you’ve seen him in two places at once, you might just be right.
